A lot of money for Little effect .

Firstly I would like to say it is not Gary writing the blog but a good life long friend Rupert and is my view on how I see pest control as I travel with Gary and His Birds round the East of England and London.As well as photographing what Gary does, I also get the opportunity to get hands on as well,

So a lot of money Little effect well as you can see from the photograph at the top of this Blog there are a couple of loud speakers. There Job is to broadcast a sound that should scare of Sea Gulls that  come in land to Nest,have and rear there young.
Now I had a quick look on the net to find so 4 small speakers and a control unit (without fitting) you will pay £984.82
OK for anyone reading this and saying but its a photo not a video at the top you could have done some editing (I did the music notes and bubble caption.) Watch this video I shot in Peterborough of the same roof top the company paid a very large over 4 figure sum for something that only works Till the Gulls get use to the Idea it does not move and will not harm them.

Now my question is "Why do some Pest Control Companies,The big corporate ones are the main offenders from my research insist on selling something that as you can see does not work."

The only answers I can come up with are as follow:

1.Sales reps for these companies are on commotion more the sell better price sold for  more they get paid.
2.Greed. Simply greed for the big companies put your sales rep on commotion he will sell more make the company more money.
Now if my Grandfather was still about i know what he would say. " Now the Rupert that is a clear case of selling under false pretence, or to put it in plain English boy its robbery."
Over last year of being out and about with Backwoods Falconry I have seen to  my amazement a lot of this and  heard so many times Falconry does not work form potential customers we have visited. Well seeing is believing and i'm here to tell you all I am seeing results from Falconry that work, a lot less expensive than these, as my granddad would say "New fan-dangled gadgets" and in this day age Eco-friendly.
Well to finish of this first Blog post for Backwoods Falconry I would like to say this to you all  as I can see some people might ask questions about the some of the topics I will write about. No Backwoods Falconry are not paying me to write these posts I asked if I could. Why ? because some of the things I am seeing for myself and hearing about from other small Pest Controllers that the big corporate Pest control companies are doing and getting away with quit honestly horrify me.Its about time the general public and business that employ there services got to know and understand more,so they can get a proper service and not pay for something that does not work or pay for something that is not being done.
